More than eight years running, Halcyon offers a weekly jam session by a revolving community of fine musicians from around the world. Hosted by composer-violinist Roberto Paolo Riggio, the jam is open to singers and instrumentalists of all levels and styles who seek to experience a relaxed improvisational approach to communication and collaboration. Professional and amateur artists alike who live in Austin or are just passing through are encouraged to join in an opportunity to push beyond the boundaries of their comfort zone without pressure, conversing in the language we all share - MUSIC! Every week is different - there are no restrictions in terms of genre, style, or form. Come for an experience where you, the public, will get to share in the often sublime and always enjoyable experience of unrehearsed, unpredictable, collective music-making, while enjoying Halcyon's delicious drinks and food. Be a part of culture without borders! No cover charge, but tips are appreciated.
